Thousands of UFO enthusiasts got the White House to admit it is actively looking for aliens - but is yet to speak with them. The White House has been forced to admit that they are looking for aliens.
The White House has been forced to admit that they are looking for aliens. The Daily Mail reports two petitions - one signed by 5387 people, the other by more than 12,000 - asked the US government to acknowledge that extraterrestrials had contacted the human race.
The petition asked the government to reveal their knowledge and communications with aliens. "'The people have a right to know. The people can handle the truth," the petition said.
Phil Larson, from the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, denied the government was covering anything up. "The US government has no evidence that any life exists outside our planet, or that an extraterrestrial presence has contacted or engaged any member of the human race," he said in a blog post on the White House website.
"In fact, there are a number of projects working toward the goal of understanding if life can or does exist off Earth.
"The fact is we have no credible evidence of extraterrestrial presence here on Earth."
Larson doesn't hold out much hope in any case: "The odds of us making contact with any of them - especially any intelligent ones - are extremely small, given the distances involved."
